Homeschooling 2013-2014

We started our new school year at the beginning of August.

"Lily Kay's 1st day of 2nd grade"

We started off nice and slow...easing into the full schedule of classes.

"Daniel's First Day of 3rd grade"

I was concerned that with an 18-month old, starting back to school would be difficult, especially given that G just dropped his morning nap.  But, ummmmm (now don't hate me for this)...he has been regularly sleeping until past 10:30 a.m. in the mornings...and some days past 12 p.m......and ONE day he even slept until 1 p.m.!

Our boy is in the midst of a big growth spurt I believe.

Well, either that, or the Lord is giving me grace so that we can get this school year underway good.

We had such a busy summer that near the end of July I was **not** ready to start back to school.  And I feared I was not going to ever feel ready.

But then, all of a sudden....I did feel ready.  And not only ready, but excited!

we couldn't decide if we liked it better with E's hair back...

...or down.

And the children were excited also.

Well, most of them were excited to start back to school.

I'll give you one guess as to who was less-than-excited to start back to school.

What we're doing this year:

Exploring Countries and Cultures (by My Father's World)
Math-U-See
Teaching Textbooks
Copywork from Queen Homeschool Supply
Primary Language Lessons
Intermediate Language Lessons
Writing Tales

  2. Praying your school year is wonderful! After our overwhelming spring and summer, I wasn't ready to begin either, but we did manage to get in a full week last week. Here we go! Always love the first day of school pictures of your children.
