...our Daniel was baptized on Sunday.
Elisabeth and Noah were baptized at our previous church, but Daniel is the first one from our family to be baptized at our new church that we've been going to for over a year now.
At our new church, when a child gets baptized, their daddy gets to perform the baptism. Elisabeth and Noah are more than a little bummed that Jas didn't get to baptize them also.
It has been so neat over the past few months to see Daniel grow spiritually, and to hear his prayers. We were very glad when he came to us to tell us that he thought it was time for him to be baptized.
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. (3 John 1:4)

Nai Nai has left us now.
Yesterday, we delivered her to the location of the last 2/3 of her vacation...the beach!
Yes, she is "roughing it" there all by herself for the rest of this week.
She doesn't get much beach time in Colorado...
...so my children were very glad to get the opportunity yesterday to show her how we do the beach.
Of course, sometimes how we "do the beach" is to sleep through it!
We probably had been in the van heading home for about 3 minutes when LK piped up, "I miss Nai Nai."
We all do!

Sunday night I had the wonderful opportunity to go to a "pajama party". Lynnea was here visiting from PA. My dear friend Vicki traveled with Lynnea in China during their first adoption, and she introduced all of us to Lynnea a while back. We now claim Lynnea as our own friend! So, Amy, Robbie and I (and G man) headed over after we each put our kiddos to bed on Sunday evening. G and I pulled into Vicki's driveway at about 8:30 p.m...and seven short hours later we pulled back out.
Yes, we stayed until 3:30 a.m.
I would love to have pictures to remember this night by...but there was a whole lot of jammies, and not much makeup - and I think the girls would have killed me!
Oh, how I needed that visiting time with sweet, Christian sisters. We laughed, we teared up, we prayed. It refreshed my soul.
And getting only 3 1/2 hours a sleep for one night? It was totally worth it!

Our sweet Ansley came to visit us recently, when she was home for the weekend.
We visited....
...and played...
...and snuggled.
AND...made a yummy snack that Ansley brought over (that she'd seen on Pinterest, of course!):
Sliced bananas...dipped in chocolate...
...decorated to your hearts' content, and then frozen.
Yummy, with a capital Y!
We had a great time with Ansley, and I was so excited to hear about the direction she feels the Lord is leading her in now. We look forward to seeing how the Lord uses this precious girl who loves Him so much!

I've got more...but it's time to go to bed (I'm still working on catching up from the pajama party)...
Awesome! Love hearing all of it! And welcome to the eternal family, Daniel! Nothing more exciting than that! And that little treat looks awesome! We might have to copy you! Much love!
