Get this: Instead of the children taking turns eating breakfast out with daddy...**I** am taking each of them out.
I know. Revolutionary.
Why did it take us years to figure out that I could get in on this tradition also?!? For such smart people, we are very dumb.
Anyway, the boys have now had their turns now also. It took a couple weeks longer than I thought it would, but a couple different Fridays, Jas and I just couldn't make ourselves get up early enough to make it happen (my littlest precious son gets the credit for that!).
First, Noah and I headed to his choice, McDonalds. Blech! I mean: I had such a lovely time with my oldest son!
This precious boy/man is such a blessing. He is funny. And smart...oh, so smart. Sometimes it is hard to know whether you're talking to an 8-year old...or a 38-year old. But then he goes and does something brilliant, like hit a sibling or something, and I remember that he is, in fact, 8.
And then the next week, Daniel and I got a turn. He wanted to head to a local place that serves a good 'ol southern breakfast...surprise, Surprise! I do not recall him ever choosing anything different in the 3 of so years that they've been doing this...but every time it's his turn he makes a big show of agonizing over his choice So cute!
This boy is just as crazy as ever....
...and just as talkative as ever.
When we were done eating, he asked if we could just sit and talk some more before we had to head home.
I am the blessed mama of two amazingly precious boys.
Love them all so much! My kids are bugging, oops did I say that, asking me so nicely, if we can't get together. I am going to look at my calendar and pray we can make it work, but not sure!! Hope you are enjoying your Memorial Day Weekend!!
