Out-takes from The Field - 2012

So, I am happy with the pictures we ended up capturing in The Field this year.

But that doesn't mean it was always a pretty process.

We were there for 20-30 minutes and I snapped 134 pics....and from the pictures that follow, you'll see that I captured a whole lot more thumbs-down than thumbs-up pics!


I saw plenty of eyelids:

I saw plenty of tongue:

And sometimes....eyelids AND tongue at the same time:

I know, I know...my baby is already so good at multi-tasking!

And I even saw some be-hiney:

And that same Lovely Assistant sometimes stuck his hand into the shot at random times:

Oh, yeah...he was "fixing stuff"...I really shouldn't rag on him!

It was hard to be serious the whole time, though:

Noah thought Mr. G would look lovely with a flower behind his ear.

Elisabeth thought Noah would look lovely with a flower behind his ear.

And I mentioned that Lily Kay is going through an Awkward Smile phase.  Don't believe me?

When they saw this picture, the other children said LK looks like something stung her...

...or that she needs to go to the bathroom.

And in the ONLY shot of the evening where I caught a real smile from Lily Kay...

....my stinkin' camera was focused on the field instead of the children!


And sometimes, when your sister is trying to kiss you (AACCCKKK!)...

....it's time...

...to just go. home.

And so...we did.
