Tueseday evening - after an early supper - we scooped the children up and drove all the way...to the end of our street.
To "The Field".
Every year at this time The Field is in bloom. And we take advantage of God's beautiful backdrop to take pictures of the precious treasures that God has blessed us with.
Every year - that is - unless the field gets mowed at the wrong time. Which has happened a couple of years, btw.
The nerve.
The children are old pros by now. They know their favorite places and poses.
I snapped 134 pictures.
But we really were not there for very long at all.
And they all did great.
Except, well, Lily Kay happens to be going through an Awkward Smile phase. I was very pleased to get this shot of her: (You should see the bad ones! In fact, I think I'll do a post of out-takes in a day or two!)
And while this was Mr. Gabriel's first time taking pictures in The Field...he took to it like an Old Pro. I do believe he downright enjoyed himself. Having a full belly didn't hurt, either.
Our newest blessing was doing so good, I couldn't help but zoom in and just get him...flowers schmowers!
I came away that evening thinking...
...."Breathtaking!"
And the flowers weren't too shabby, either.
I'm linking up to Stefanie's Sunday Snapshot today. I took these photos with my Nikon D60. 18-55mm lens. Settings: ISO 200, 46 mm, f/5.3. Editing done in Lightroom 3.

Oh my goodness. OH MY GOODNESS! The field is incredible but it is NOTHING compared to your beautiful children! I love their smiles. They are absolutely precious. I am so glad it didn't get mowed before you could get there. Too fantastic for words.
