Doctor Appointment, With a Large Side of Fun

First - the business part of this post:

Lily Kay had her 4-month checkup with the Endocrinologist last week.

Everything looked good. Great, even!  The doctor's words were that "we have room to cut back" on both of the medicines that LK is currently taking daily. The dosages on both LK's "white messin" and her "yellow messin" were cut by 25%.

And the implant that LK had inserted in December is doing its job. YAY!

Now - for the FUN part of this post:

We drove on down to the city/state where LK's doctor appointment was going to be the day BEFORE the appointment.

WHY would we do such a thing?

Because we got to visit and stay the night with our dear friends...effectively turning this Not-So-Fun Event into a Very Fun Event!

I've talked about our precious S Family friends multiple times before.  Oh, how the Lord has blessed us through knowing this family.  We originally met about 8.5 years ago - back before either of us had any children.  We now have 8 between us...but that number is about to be 9, because their precious Callan will be home from China very soon!

I told Melissa that I felt like I was on vacation while we were there, and I feel that way everytime we visit - she is such a great hostess.  She definitely has the gift of hospitality.

With the weather getting nicer, we were able to head to their neighborhood pool.  Being the middle of the afternoon (because we have a bunch of homeschooled children), we had the pool all to ourselves!

Now Mr. Gabriel is not quite old enough to swim yet,  so he hung out with the mamas:

But he did have visitors occasionally:

I think he had a good time even though he didn't get to swim:

I do believe that Natalie, Neeleigh and Aaron love Gabriel as much as my children do....they are so sweet with him:

We had a wonderful time with you, S Family, as usual.  We can't wait to see you again!
