Doctor Visit Today

Lily Kay, Gabriel and I made an unplanned trip to the Doctor's office today.

Good News: Mr. Gabriel (who was just coming along for the ride) now weighs 9 lb 11 oz. And a 1/4. But he did have his clothes on. And his diaper. But still! Between his growing hamhocks, his rapidly developing double chin, and the impatient little grunts he makes when eating...we've now started lovingly referring to him as "Porky Pig-a-let"!

Bad News: Lily Kay has strep. YUCK! She has had a fever off-and-on for 3 days. Mostly off. As in: one time a day for 3 days she would have a fever of 100 or 101...and then (with no fever-reducing medicine given) it would go away. I'd think it was gone for good...and then later she'd have another low-grade fever. But her throat hurt also. I suspected strep. Bingo! To see her in action you'd never guess she had anything. I'm so glad we went to check it out today. We don't mess around with strep, so she is now taking 10 days worth of antibiotic.
