Sunday Snapshot: Buddies

As I mentioned here, all four of my kiddos get along well and genuinely love - and like - one another.

But these two?



These two are "buddies"!


It has been such a pleasure to witness Daniel and Lily Kay's budding relationship over the past year that Lily Kay has been home.

They've come a long way, baby.

Daniel was not impressed with Lily Kay at first.

He was excited she was home, and he wasn't ugly. He just did not cut her any slack...and he didn't understand why all the rest of us did: "Why does she get to do that?" "Why doesn't she have to do this?"



And then, slowly

...Daniel and Lily Kay realized they had a mutual affinity for Diego....

...and playing outside...

And before we knew it...they were practically inseparable.



They do actually go around the house calling each other "Buddy"...as in "Come on, buddy!" and "Let's do this next, buddy!"


And the most frequently heard phrase out of Daniel's mouth on any given day is "Right, Lily Kay?".




And the most frequently heard phrase out of Lily Kay's mouth on any given day is "Right, Daniel?"

And looking at these pictures...this mama says "Yes. This is right."
