We participate in a BIG way.
Close-to-800-boxes-this-year BIG.
After packing some of our own boxes, the children and I had the distinct privilege of helping at our church today. Checking, filling, sorting.
Elisabeth and Noah worked hard.
Lily Kay and Daniel worked hard...for a little bit.
And then colored...
...and played with cars.
It was such a blessing to work on and pray over these boxes that will be delivered to needy children all around the world.
Experiences like today - when we're serving, but we end up being blessed - always make me think of this line from one of our favorite children's books, What Makes God Smile? (by Karen Hill):
"When we make God smile...
...we can't help but smile too!"
We love participating in OCC each year, too!
