"Our" Orlando Business Trip

When Daddy had his business trip to Orlando, he was kind enough to let all of us tag along.

He knew we had some serious business of our own to attend to down there.

Our business looked very different than Daddy's business,

...but it was important all the same.

First, at least twice a day, we called our meetings to order...outside.

Why outside?

Because this was a great place to convene a meeting...

The zero-entry, heated pool was a hit with our Miss Lily Kay, who can't swim yet.

In fact, it was a big hit with all of us.

As was our secondary meeting place...the hot tub. (Or "hot bath" as Noah likes to refer to them.)

Our suite (they upgraded us for free!) was in the Key West Atrium of the Gaylord Palms.

This was the view off our balcony...

Yes, the children spent alot of time looking off our 4th floor balcony down at the fish swimming around the boat in "Key West".

The Gaylord Palms is huge...and we conducted our own excursions in the 3 different atriums.

While daddy was learning more about "Regulation E as it pertains to Overdrafts"...

...we were checking out all the sites in the Key West atrium

And while daddy was inquiring about "Consolidated Cost of Funds"...

...we explored the St. Augustine atrium, including it's alligators and turtles...

And while daddy ate "Conference Food" (just one more reason I'm glad I don't work and go on business trips myself anymore!)...we had business lunches at different Chinese restaurants every day...

...where the children ate Wonton soup to their little hearts' content.

We were even able to have a business meeting at one of our favorite places ("Eat mor chikin!")...and have a mini-reunion with my high school friend, Jennifer, that I haven't seen in 19 years...who happens to live in Orlando!

After daddy had heard all he needed to about "Current Issues in Compliance"...he was finally given some time off for good behavior...and was able to swim in the pool with us one time...

...and it was a good thing...

...because the children were in great need of some wrestlin' by this point!

It was Miss Lily Kay's first business trip...and she's looking forward to more.

Her only complaint about the whole thing was that 3 nights wasn't long enough.

I agree.

But next time we go on a business trip she'll be swimming also...because she is starting swimming lessons this afternoon!
