Don't let these pictures fool you...she did not enjoy "schwim skool". These pictures were taken not at "schwim skool", but when our family went swimming together one evening, several days into her lessons.
These are "fat jaws"...and aren't they the cutest fat jaws you've ever seen? When Lily Kay is telling someone about her "fat jaws", it sounds more like she's saying "hot dogs."
Lily Kay is not to the point of laying her body out flat while she swims...
so it looks more like she is furiously pedaling a bike under water.
Which, it goes without saying...is very cute.
The lessons were supposed to last until next Friday...but we have a very important date elsewhere.
Daytona Beach, in fact. Lily Kay is going to get plenty of practice in a pool (and playing time on the beach) over the next two weeks. We leave in the morning.
This is our annual trip to Mom and Dad's timeshare down there. First, we'll be there with just Laoli... then Daddy will come for 5 days...then my friend Kris and her boys are coming for the last 3 days.
The kids are b e s i d e themselves.
And just as soon as I get all our stuff packed (for two weeks, argh!)...I'll be excited too.
