Elisabeth said, "I'm sorry, you might get bored...maybe you could read or something."
I was somehow able to suffer through it.
Hey, actually, I was just excited that anybody in this house remembered it was Mother's Day. Two years ago the children were too young to get it...and Jas totally forgot! (But I don't hold it over him...nah, not me.)
Back to this morning. At about 8 a.m. I was greeted by this little procession:
Yes, those are stickers on the boys' heads
YUMMY breakfast in bed! Bacon, scrambled eggs, Green tea with honey...and a heaping bowl of granola with yogurt!
Zibing even fed me part of it...boy was I spoiled!
Elisabeth made party hats to celebrate the occasion...Jason's hat was even plumed.
And Daniel made me something to "catch bugs" - like a fly swatter. I know it looks an awful lot like a piece of construction foam...but my Daniel tells me it is a bug catcher.
We even had enough time this morning for Jas to snap a few pictures of me with my precious babies before church...
...and we even had enough time for Jas to snap a few pictures of me and my precious babies acting crazy!
So, as you can see, my Mother's Day morning was wonderful!
Don't ask about the afternoon and evening.
Note to Jas: next time call before we make the 40 minute trek to Mathew's Farm to pick strawberries...and make sure they're not already closed for the season. AND, while it is generally o.k. to have a Guys' Nights Out on a Sunday night...Mother's Day Sunday is NOT so o.k.
(Don't worry - I won't hold any of this over him. Nah...not me.)
Glad to hear that your Mother's day started out well. I hope Jas knows he gonna have to work hard to make up going out on your special day..grrr..
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day - good the morning was wonderful! I am betting your sweet husband is back in your good graces already! :)
