That's what Miss Lily Kay has now.
In her earlobes.
She's been asking about mine and Elisabeth's earrings for weeks now.
And when she found out that it didn't hurt to change our earrings she became very interested in the whole thing. I explained (as best you can to a just-turned-4-year old who has heard English for about 3 months) that it does hurt when you get the pierced...but then it doesn't hurt anymore, and it doesn't hurt when you change the earrings.
She was very intrigued and interested. And she said she wanted to do have that done like mama and Elisabeth.
Here she is when she first sat down.
Here she is a minute later, while the women were getting everything ready (that's a balloon in her mouth - notice the smile isn't quite as big)
Right before the deed (no smile now)
There were two employees, thankfully, so they were able to do it at exactly the same time on both sides. Lily Kay did cry some...but it didn't last long.
About 2 minutes post-piercing.
What a brave little girl! I have asked Arin several times if she wants her ears pierced and she says, "No way!!!!"
