We've been studying the book of Joshua in our community group recently. In the 4th chapter of Joshua the Lord has the leaders of the 12 tribes set up memorial stones so that His people will remember and tell about what He had done for them.
He deserves to be bragged on, and I delight in remembering what He has done in our lives.
So...
Ten years ago today we'd just spent 3 days driving across the country, from our home in Colorado to our new home here in the deep south.
Jas and I had only been believers for a couple of years and that period in our lives really stands out in my mind as a time when He really began growing us by leaps and bounds. He called us to step out in faith and follow Him. And - Praise the Lord - we did, and He lead us right across the country!
Our neighbor/real estate agent said that houses were taking about 90 days to sell at that point in Colorado Springs. So, even though we didn't have jobs in our new area yet, and weren't really ready (or so we thought) to actually move yet, we went ahead and put our house on the market, thinking it would take a while. AND, we asked more than we were really expecting to get, so that we'd have some wiggle room to negotiate when the buyer (of course) offered us less than our asking price.
Well, within 24 hours of our house going on the market, we had not one, but TWO offers...and we sold our house for more than we were even asking! So, the Lord effectively - and quickly - booted us out of Colorado and onto our new life of Following Where He Leads...
...and the next 10 years - during which he gave us 5 amazing children - have been one wonder-filled adventure after another!
...we will tell the next generation praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done. (Ps. 78:4)
