The day she'd been counting down to since...oh, last September.
What does every 6-year old want?
Well, actually I don't know what every other 6-year old wants for their birthday, but I certainly knew what MY 6-year old wanted: Lego Hero Factory!
Yes, not exactly a girlie-girl present, but then we've already established that she's not a girlie-girl. But her buddy/idol (big brother Daniel) loves playing with Hero Factory - and she? Loves playing with Daniel!
We carried on our new tradition of me and the birthday boy/girl making their cake together.
Lily Kay chose chocolate with "Pink Vanilla Icing with sprinkles"...
...and she chose for us to make them into cupcakes, instead of a cake. She's wild and crazy like that.
I think LK's favorite part of the cupcake making process came near the end..
And then... Laolao took us all out to lunch to celebrate Miss LK! Lily Kay got to choose, and - surprise, surprise - she wanted us to eat at the Chinese Buffet in the neighboring town!
Lily Kay, we are so blessed to be your parents - and we love you so much, baby girl! Happy 6th Birthday!
Happy Birthday, LK!! And belated to Noah!! Hope everyone is feeling well! Love to you all!
