"Stop Hunger Now"

I found Elisabeth here recently:

At the end of our driveway...

....asking passersby for money.

But the money isn't for us.

Elisabeth is trying to raise money for "Stop Hunger Now" - an international hunger relief organization.

Our Love the Least Ministry is hosting a Stop Hunger Now meal-packing event right here in our town on March 10th. We will pack a minimum of 10,000 meals...and we hope to pack many more than that!

$0.25 will buy a meal.

Since the Yelling at Passersby tactic didn't work very well (we live on a pretty quiet street and I think Elisabeth had exactly ONE passerby, and she could not understand why he didn't stop!)...Elisabeth regrouped and has come up with another idea to raise money to buy meals for the Stop Hunger Now event.

If you live close by, PLEASE stop by our driveway this Saturday:

Hot Chocolate/Lemonade Stand (Will it be hot? or cold? We're covering all our bases!)

Time: 11:00 a.m. - 3 p.m.

$0.50 per cup

ALL proceeds will go to purchase meals for the Stop Hunger Now event

What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. (James 2:14-17)
