There's not much we wouldn't do to get a totally free meal for our family of 6.
But apparently not many other parents in our area feel that way! There were a few other kids there dressed like cows...but we were the only adults!
20 years ago, you couldn't have paid me enough to go out like this in public.
But 20 years ago, I wasn't the stay-at-home mama of 4 precious kiddos!
And boy, these kiddos had a great time!
Lily Kay loved dressing like a "tow". (We're still working on her "c" and "k" sounds.)
Financial cost for our get-ups: zilch. nada. nothing.
We used old t-shirts, black paint we already owned, face paint we already had, Elisabeth's dance recital outfit from last year...and a costume that Jas bought back in college!
Time cost: Jas and I painted 1 big and 3 little t-shirts last night while we listened to this (all I can say is...wow)
Points Jas earned by wearing this out in public with us:
a billion, tillion, zillion (to quote my Daniel)
Simply precious!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool what you guys did. It is amazing what we will do for our children. I have done some things that I wouldn't be caught doing if I didn't have kids. Sometimes I think that is part of the fun of being a parent, you can act like the inner kid you really want to be and say it is because of you kids.....Great job
ReplyDeleteThe cost of your costumes: $0
ReplyDeleteThe cost of your meal: $0
The cost of seeing Jas in that get up: Priceless (or speechless - I'm not sure which)
